 This is the author's first book in which she shares some of the secrets of her collection. In the place where Beto was born when the children turn twelve, they have to reveal to the community what they will collect to transmit to people. His neighbor Margarida collects souvenirs, the father collects worries and the mother fear. Beto's research alters the mother's collection, who starts collecting desires and the father, moved by his wife's transformation, starts his hope collection. Meanwhile, Beto kept thoughts and images in his piggy bank: great memories can fit in small boxes, some things have no explanation, his mother's look similar to that of birds before the first flight. The vivid color illustrations are sensitive to these transformations playing with the size of characters that sometimes appear huge and sometimes tiny.
